Even though the song is revoltingly bad, Lady Gaga's "Judas" video is by far my favourite of her offerings so far. The New Testament/ Chola aesthetic works on every level and the shots of Gaga and Jesus have a stunning tableau vivant quality.
Gwen Stefani also rocked the chola/ chicana vibe in her stupendous "Luxurious" video.

I was disappointed not to see the Givenchy crown of thorns though....budget cuts?
Oh man I so don't agree re song - that disco chorus kills my bones. You are SO right, however, about the crown. I actually thought it (the crown) was very Baz Luhrmann in a good way, but now that you've brought the Givenchy to my attention it just seems absurd!
