Insert sole/soul pun here.

I've dabbled in some sole-painting in my time but to be honest it worked neither on an aesthetic nor function level - the rainbow fish were not as picturesque as I hoped they'd be, and the paint never dried. Nevertheless I was chuffed to find someone has found more success in the same endeavor:
Taylor Reeve hand paints these mamas herself and while her aesthetic isn't necessarily to my taste, the idea is pretty rad.

Not from Taylor but the tantalisingly named Etsy store, Hippy of Doom, comes a variation on the idea:

Imagine this.

I've never seen Lily Cole look so lovely. Here's hoping the film is as good as its promo material.

I do believe in spooks.

Things are a little pooey for Ralph Lauren at the mo but let's not forget the good times:

The men remind me of the Cowardly Lion. I love them.

something nasty in the woodshed

Australian country sheds are usually the domain of poisonous spiders and rusty saws, so you can imagine my surprise and delight when on a recent trip to the Hunter Valley, I found a Pirelli Calendar in one:

It's the 1998 edition, shot by Bruce Weber.
I'm still at a loss as to how this helps them sell tires though.

Is it Ears?

Sadly, thanks to The Man, these two little souls are no more.

Nice one, Sydney Uni.

Oral fixations are the best kind.

I know, Vice. I know.

bit me good

All the vampire madness that is currently circulating has reminded me of something important:
Moschino, I love you.

Love like an egg.

Perhaps Jean Paul Gaultier is looking to impress courtside regular Anna Wintour, or maybe he just has a thing for white shoes. Whatever the case, his latest collection for Hermes is full of some serious tennis love. Personally I'm not totally sold on the collection, I think the looks that work best are the more generically preppy ones.
Nevertheless Gaultier has succeeded in rekindling my love for these ridiculous Dries Van Noten shoes:

If you're digging the Hermes' vibe more than I am, think about going vintage a la this Vintage Petals dress:

Tulle Chainsaw Massacre.

Viktor & Rolf's latest show has to be one of the most beautiful and tactilely inviting I have ever seen. The use of a sheer fabric like tulle to create the incredibly dense shapes seen here is totally the kind of innovation one would expect from the V & R boys.
Fingers and toes crossed that we see Tilda Swinton rocking out one of these bad boys on the red carpet soon.
