Barbier is French for pretty.
For a while I was so obsessed with Georges Barbier's illustrations that I wanted to have one painted as a mural on my bedroom wall, an idea that now strikes me as the height of retardation.

I wouldn't mind it on the wall of someone's bedroom that I only see from time to time - I thinking waking up to it every morning would be a bit overwhelming.
Once I painted this giant mermaid on my bedroom wall and she totally started weirding me out after a while...
